Since 2016, the Golf Club Zillertal-Uderns has been a proud member of the exclusive circle of "The Leading Golf Courses." The Leading Golf Courses are committed to the pursuit of perfection and represent the highest quality standards in the sport of golf.
A central pillar of the quality partnership is the Leading Test. This test encompasses over 150 quality criteria and was developed by The Leading Golf Courses in collaboration with a market research institute. The tool enables an objective evaluation of golf facilities. The 10 test areas are weighted differently and include: Fixed course conditions (20%), fairways (10%), greens (15%), tees, course facilities, and practice areas (each 5%), as well as infrastructure, restaurant, office, and marketing (each 10%).
“To verify our criteria, each member facility and each applicant club is evaluated 6 to 9 times per season by anonymous guest players,” explains Josef Mayerhofer, Managing Director of The Leading Golf Courses in Austria.
Strict test criteria.
After each test, the evaluations are validated on the digital test platform and made available to the respective golf facilities. Thus, the test serves as an important tool in quality management for the golf clubs. "Applicants for membership in The Leading Golf Courses must meet the established standards in all 9 tests to be admitted," explains Josef Mayerhofer.
